Register Now for Beach Driving and Off-Beach Parking

Posted On: September 30, 2024

Today's the day! Volusia County residents and vistors can start registering their vehicles to drive on Volusia County beaches and park in the County's off-beach parking lots at no charge through the Park Volusia program.

Registration

Registration is available online at www.parkvolusia.org and in person at the Park Volusia office, 2422 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores.

The County will also conduct multiple in-person registrations throughout the community. Each session will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on the designated dates:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 1: Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 Jackie Robinson Parkway
  • Thursday, Oct. 3: New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway
  • Monday, Oct. 7: DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave.
  • Thursday, Oct. 10: Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave.
  • Monday, Oct. 14: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Park Volusia representatives will also be at the Celebrate Volusia event from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.

Existing Passes

Residents and nonresidents who have existing beach passes may continue using their current passes at staffed toll booths until expiration. However, once a beach access point converts to a license plate reader, vehicles must be registered with the Park Volusia program or a gate will not open even with a valid annual pass.

Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park

The no-cost parking permit for residents does not cover access fees for Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park. Residents and visitors must purchase a separate daily or annual inlet park pass. Annual pass purchases for the inlet parks will be available through the same avenues as the beach driving passes; they will also no longer be sold at the toll booths.

Disabled Parking

Residents and visitors with verified permanent or temporary disabled parking documentation will continue to receive no-cost access to beach driving, parking in County-owned off-beach lots, and entry to the inlet parks. They are also encouraged to register with the Park Volusia program to facilitate access.

Contact us

Residents and nonresidents can inquire about the registration process and necessary documentation by contacting Park Volusia’s 24/7 assistance line at 386-260-1482.
