FEMA to Open Two Disaster Recovery Centers

Posted On: November 9, 2024

FEMA will open Disaster Recovery Centers in Volusia County to help residents affected by Hurricane Milton access available support and apply for assistance.

  • John H. Dickerson Community Center, 308 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Daytona Beach: 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 12 and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 to 19
  • The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 21 to 27

Residents will receive one-on-one support from FEMA representatives, along with assistance from other disaster support agencies, including the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Red Cross, who will provide additional recovery options.

All Volusia County residents are welcome to visit either location for assistance. As the second Disaster Recovery Center nears conclusion, FEMA will evaluate the demand and usage of the centers to determine if additional centers are necessary. The County will announce any decision to establish further centers as needed.

Residents may also apply for assistance online at www.disasterassistance.gov, through the FEMA mobile app, or by calling 800-621-3362.
