ParkVolusia Office Opens in New Smyrna Beach

Posted On: December 3, 2024

Volusia County residents now have two convenient locations to register for complimentary beach driving and off-beach parking passes:

  • The original office at 2422 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Staff can be reached at 386-260-1482.
  • The new office at 302 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Staff can be reached at 386-217-0216.

Volusia County will host another round of in-person registration events at regional libraries to further assist residents. These events will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

  • Monday, Dec. 9: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10: DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11: Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 Jackie Robinson Parkway
  • Monday, Dec. 16: New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway
  • Thursday, Dec. 19: Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle

Residents attending an in-person registration event or visiting a ParkVolusia office must bring a valid ID and vehicle registration. If these documents do not display a Volusia County address, additional proof, such as a lease agreement or property tax bill linking their name to a local address, will be required. Additionally, residents can register online at www.parkvolusia.org. Nonresidents may also purchase beach driving and off-beach parking passes through the same website or at ParkVolusia offices.

Starting Jan. 1, 2025, parking fees will be implemented at all County-owned and operated off-beach lots. However, residents registered with the ParkVolusia program will be exempt from these fees. Signage installation at eligible lots is underway and is expected to be completed by the end of December. A full list of eligible parking locations can be found under the “Beach Parking” tab at www.parkvolusia.org.

The parking fee exemption for ParkVolusia registrants applies exclusively to County-owned and operated off-beach lots. Off-beach lots managed by the City of Daytona Beach or the City of New Smyrna Beach may still charge ParkVolusia participants fees. Beachgoers seeking information about parking in those city-operated lots should visit the respective city's website for more details.
