County Council Honors Workforce Development Partners

The Volusia County Council recently honored the workforce development practitioners who create a sustainable talent pipeline that strengthens our regional competitiveness. Honorees were the Volusia County Economic Development team, CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia, Daytona State College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Volusia County’s Economic Development Division forges strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations, cultivating an environment where industry leaders can access the skilled talent necessary to thrive in today's competitive marketplace.
CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia serves as the region's premier workforce catalyst, delivering comprehensive career services and personalized guidance that transforms job seekers into career-ready professionals; in the past year, the agency assisted 544 businesses and 8,507 job seekers and placed 126 individuals in employment in Volusia County.
Daytona State College's Mary Karl College of Workforce and Continuing Education empowers residents through cutting-edge training initiatives, certification programs, and lifelong learning opportunities that bridge the gap between current skills and future industry demands.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University contributes significantly to economic development through its state-of-the-art Research Park and partnership with Boeing, which will bring 400 high-paying jobs to Volusia County.
