Fire Rescue Hosts Hazmat Symposium
Posted On: January 22, 2026
Volusia County Fire Rescue was proud to host the 13th annual Florida Hazardous Materials Symposium and training competition in Daytona Beach from July 13 to 16.
This premier event brought together more than 650 hazmat professionals, first responders, and instructors from across the state and beyond for four days of intensive training. The symposium featured classroom presentations, seminars, hands-on training exercises, and an exciting team competition.
These specialized training opportunities help ensure our first responders have the latest knowledge and skills to safely handle hazardous materials incidents and keep our community protected.
We thank all the participants, instructors, and partners who made this year's symposium a success!
