Holiday beach ramp schedule and 2019 pass sales

Posted On: December 21, 2018

To ensure visitors and residents are able to easily access the beach this holiday season, additional vehicular beach access ramps will be open Friday, Dec. 21, through Tuesday, Jan. 1.

During the timeframe, all ramps will be open, with the exception of Seminole Avenue, Rockefeller Drive, River Beach Drive, Boylston Avenue, Seaview Avenue and Zelda Boulevard.

The off-season beach access schedule will resume Jan. 2. For a map of the off-season beach access ramps, visit Volusia.org/beach and click on the “Beach Driving and Parking” tab.

Annual beach and park passes for 2019 are available for purchase beginning Jan. 1.

Beginning Dec. 1, vehicles with current, valid annual beach and/or park passes were able to renew their pass for 2019.

Annual passes may be purchased with cash or a debit/credit card; checks are not accepted. Proof of residency is required for Volusia County residents in the form of a driver’s license or state ID and a vehicle registration with matching name and Volusia County address. Property owners who have a vehicle registered out of state must bring a copy of their Volusia County tax bill as proof of residency.

Annual beach passes are $25 for Volusia County residents and $100 for nonresidents. An annual inlet parks pass can be added to a resident or non-resident annual beach pass for $20.

Full-time college students at Bethune-Cookman University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Stetson University qualify for the resident annual beach pass if they have a current, permanently affixed, college parking pass on their vehicle.

As always, complimentary annual passes are provided to those patrons who have a permanent handicap license plate or a disabled veteran license plate.
