LPGA Boulevard Transportation Study workshop

Posted On: August 9, 2019

Volusia County will hold a public workshop to discuss draft findings of a recent LPGA Boulevard area transportation study on Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the Daytona Beach Police Department’s community room, 129 Valor Blvd. Beginning at 6 p.m., maps and other graphics will be available for viewing, with staff available to answer questions. The study presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

The study, conducted by Vanasse Hangen Brustlin (VHB), analyzed existing traffic conditions and transportation demands of new development in the LPGA Boulevard area. The study also evaluated traffic flow with the assumption that specific road improvement projects are implemented. Future improvements taken into consideration include LPGA Boulevard widening, Williamson Boulevard widening, Tymber Creek Road extension from State Road 40 to LPGA, Tournament Drive extension to State Road 40, Dunn Avenue extension, and Hand Avenue extension.

At the workshop, VHB will present different scenarios, which will assist in prioritizing future projects that provide traffic relief on LPGA Boulevard, U.S. 92/International Speedway Boulevard, and State Road 40/Granada Boulevard.
