Posted On: February 16, 2020

Master Naturalist Holly Giles will lead a native plant walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary.

She will discuss the unique landscape Frederick deBary created in the Florida scrub for his winter hunting lodge in the late 19th century. Participants will learn about the historical significance of several native and non-native plants found on the grounds.

Giles is a docent at DeBary Hall. She has published works about using nature and community resources to learn more about where you live.

Participants should bring bottled water and wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen.
