Master gardeners plan plant clinics

Volusia County’s master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during eight plant clinics in March. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.
- 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, at the Edgewater Public Library, 103 W. Indian River Blvd.
- 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 3, at the Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave., Ormond Beach.
- 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.
- 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at the DeLand Regional Library, 130 E. Howry Ave.
- 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Sugar Mill Gardens, 950 Sugar Mill Road, Port Orange.
- 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 12, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 E. Magnolia Ave.
- 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave. Master Gardener Howard Jeffries will discuss plant familiarization and Florida friendly landscapes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.
Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows.
