Cultural Council to meet March 27

The Cultural Council of Volusia County will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, March 27, at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.

Members will review the arts license plate fund and a grant application to this fund. They also will receive an update from the Volusia County Cultural Alliance, listen to a presentation about renovations at Daytona Beach International Airport, and view the Ocean Center’s Art in Public Places collection.

The Cultural Council is appointed by the Volusia County Council to advise on matters relating to cultural arts in the community, and to assist in the appropriation of operational grant funding for cultural and heritage organizations in the County. This notice also applies to written requests by a physically handicapped person needing a special accommodation to attend a public meeting in accordance with section 286.26, Florida Statutes.
