Spanish-language COVID-19 panel discussion
Volusia County’s Community Information Division filmed a Spanish-language panel discussion featuring local Latino leaders discussing the coronavirus’ effect on Latinos in Volusia County.
Marisol Bahena, a health services representative for the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia), moderates the discussion, which features:
  • Andy Natal, an environmental health program consultant for DOH-Volusia
  • Antonio Tovar-Aguilar, executive director of the Farmworkers Association of Florida
  • Victor Ramos, vice mayor of Deltona
  • Eduardo Diaz-Cordero, a social worker for Volusia County Community Assistance
During the 42-minute video, they discuss COVID-19 and its effects on the county’s Latino communities in Deltona and northwest Volusia County, the Florida Department of Health’s role in tracking the virus and communicating with the public, and financial assistance offered by Volusia County Government.
The video can be viewed and downloaded at https://youtu.be/xy3EplEMaD8. Cities, agencies, churches, individuals, and members of the media may use and distribute the video as they wish.
