County to host COVID-19 panel discussion Friday

As the nation continues to navigate reopening, there are growing concerns about possible spikes in COVID-19 cases. Volusia County Government will host a panel discussion at 10 a.m. this Friday, June 19, where local health experts will discuss what they’re seeing in the county, as well as ways individuals can best protect themselves and others. Panelists will include:
- Dr. Joe Smith, Chief Medical Officer, AdventHealth DeLand
- Dr. Margaret Crossman, Chief Medical Officer, Halifax Health
- Dr. Andria Klioze, president of the Volusia County Medical Society
Friday’s panel discussion will be broadcast live on Volusia County Emergency Management’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VolusiaCountyEmergencyManagement. The news media is welcome to attend and participate in the question-and-answer session. For members of the news media who wish to attend, the event will take place at the Volusia County Emergency Operations Center, 3825 Tiger Bay Road, Daytona Beach.
