Walk and talk “Swamp Ghosts” with the walking book club

Discuss “Swamp Ghosts,” written by Marcia Meara during a walking book club event at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd.

In “Swamp Ghosts,” a St. Johns River eco-tour boat owner and a wildlife photographer discover the most dangerous animal in the swamp walks on two legs. A serial killer is on the prowl!

Staff and guests will discuss the book during a leisurely three-mile walk to Gemini Springs and back.

Adults are welcome, whether having read the book or not. Reservations are required and limited to 10 walkers; contact Education Coordinator Lisa Perez at 386-668-3840 or lperez@volusia.org. Meet at the Visitor’s Center. Participants should bring bottled water, wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen.
