State-run COVID-19 testing site closed Nov. 12 due to weather

The COVID-19 test site at 1000 Live Oak St., New Smyrna Beach will close Thursday, Nov. 12, due to inclement weather from Hurricane Eta.

Beginning Thursday morning, Volusia County is forecast to experience sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph as well as 1 to 2 inches of rain. There is a risk for tornadoes, with the highest chance in the northwest portion of the county.

The test site, provided by the Florida Division of Emergency Management, is expected to resume normal operating hours at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13.
