Spring Hill bulk item pickup scheduled for Dec. 12

The City of DeLand and Volusia County have teamed up for a bulk item pickup on Saturday, Dec. 12, for residents in the Spring Hill area. Bulk items include mattresses, furniture and other household items. Liquids, hazardous waste, construction debris, appliances, tires, electronics and food waste will not be collected. Place items at the curb by 7 a.m., Dec. 12. The bulk item pickup is for residential and not commercial entities.

The bulk item event is part of the Strive to Thrive initiative, which is focused on community cleanup and assistance for residents in the Spring Hill area.
