Welcome to Florida – We do landscaping differently here

Master Gardener Howard Jeffries will present “Welcome to Florida – We do Landscaping Differently Here” at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, in DeBary Hall Historic Site’s stable, 198 Sunrise Blvd.

Jeffries, a volunteer with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will explain how to deal with Florida’s subtropical climate and soil when planning a home landscape. He will also discuss plant familiarization, offering tips on putting the right plant in the right place.
