DeBary Hall to close for maintenance

The mansion at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd., will be closed to tours from May 11 through 24 due to maintenance and repairs. It will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25.

The Visitors Center, trailhead and movie theater will remain open.

Built in 1871, DeBary Hall was the winter retreat of European-born champagne merchant Frederick deBary, who chose the St. Johns River country for his hunting estate. The 10-acre site, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is owned by the State of Florida and managed by Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Division.
