Backyard plant sale to benefit Deltona Regional Library

Rain or shine, the Friends of Deltona Library will sell plants for house, shade and sun from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at 1984 W. Chapel Drive, Deltona. The home is 1.5 miles south of Deltona Regional Library off Providence Boulevard. Wear a mask and look for a brick house with blue doors and shutters.
The Florida friendly plants, which were raised by library volunteers, include eastern red cedar, porter weed, angel trumpet, red firespike, orchid tree, Cuban oregano, beauty berry, yellow 4 o’clock, reed stem orchid, night blooming cactus, snake plant, passion vine, Cuban buttercup, voodoo lily, candlestick cassia, liriope, royal poinciana, pigeon peas, plumeria, and some “mystery plants.”
The plants will be sold for $3 to $5 in one-gallon pots. Payment may be made with cash or check. All sales will benefit programs at the Deltona Regional Library.
