Cultural Council to meet June 18

The Cultural Council of Volusia County will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, June 18, in the second-floor conference room at the Daytona Beach Shores Community Center, 3000 Bellemead Ave., Daytona Beach Shores. 

Members will discuss Sunshine Laws and Roberts Rules of Order, elect the chair and vice chair for the 2021- 2022 term, receive an update on the Community Cultural Grant for 2021 – 2022 scoring workshop, and review information on the creation of a new local theater group.   

The Cultural Council is appointed by the Volusia County Council to advise on matters relating to cultural arts in the community and to assist in the appropriation of operational grant funding for cultural and heritage organizations in the county. This notice also applies to written requests by a physically handicapped person needing a special accommodation to attend a public meeting in accordance with section 286.26, Florida Statutes.
