Consolidated one-year action plan available for viewing

A draft of the FY 2021-22 One-Year Action Plan for Volusia County has been prepared and is available for citizen review and comment. The draft plan is available for review between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at these locations:
- Human Services Office, 717 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach
- Human Services Office, 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach
- Human Services Office, 775 Harley Strickland Blvd., Suite 104, Orange City
- Community Assistance Office, 110 W. Rich Ave., DeLand
Following is a summary of Volusia County's One-Year Action Plan for FY 2021-22. The plan was prepared in accordance with 24 CFR Part 91 Consolidated Submission for Community Planning and Development Programs. The formula grant programs addressed in the plan and the amount of anticipated funding are:
Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) $ 1,734,861
HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) $ 735,397
Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) $ 159,371
Total $ 2,629,629
The regulations for these grant programs set forth three basic goals: to provide decent housing, create a suitable living environment and to expand economic opportunities. Each of these goals must primarily benefit low-income persons.
The FY 2021-22 One-Year Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan for Volusia County is developed based upon input from program participants and citizen participation. Volusia County is responsible for coordinating the plan's development and submitting the plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan must be submitted by August 16, 2021.
