Edgewater library announces August programs

There’s more to do than read at the Edgewater Public Library, 103 W. Indian River Blvd. Staff is planning free educational activities for children and programs for adults in August.
Children ages 8 to 13 can take classes that focus on science, reading, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STREAM) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 18 and 25. Attendance is limited to 12 children on a first-come, first served basis.
Author and retired schoolteacher Cecilia Burnell McKinney will share personal stories included in her two books, “Ingredients of My Life” and “Second Batch: A Mix of Memories through the Years,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21.
Upcoming craft classes for adults include:
- Decorate a terra cotta pot at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24
- Spa crafts at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28
