Emergency Solutions Grant funds available for nonprofits

Volusia County Government has U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds available for the implementation of eligible ESG programs. Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations are eligible to submit applications for this funding.

The amount available for rapid re-housing is $79,686. Of these funds, $5,976 may be used for administrative costs. The amount available for homelessness prevention is $79,685. Of these funds, $5,976 may be used for administrative costs. Successful applicants will be required to provide a 100% match. 

Applications are being accepted for the following program components:

  • Homelessness prevention: Housing relocation and stabilization services as necessary for individuals or families who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless
  • Rapid re-housing: Housing relocation and stabilization services as necessary to help individuals or families living in shelters or in places not meant for human habitation move as quickly as possible into permanent housing and achieve stability in that housing

Both programs must serve the entire county and comply with the Commission on Homelessness and Housing for Volusia and Flagler Counties written standards, which are included in the application. This funding is prohibited from serving Flagler County.
