County Council members to attend public meetings

Two or more members of the Volusia County Council plan to attend the following meetings in August:
- Beachside Elementary School groundbreaking: 9 a.m. Aug. 2 at 1275 Grandview Ave., Daytona Beach
- Training for disasters: 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Emergency Operations Center, 3825 Tiger Bay Road, Daytona Beach
- River to Sea TPO Executive Director Search Committee: 9 a.m. Aug. 4 at 2570 W. International Speedway Blvd., Suite 100, Daytona Beach
- River to Sea TPO Executive Committee: 10 a.m. Aug. 4 at 2570 W. International Speedway Blvd., Suite 100, Daytona Beach
- Open house and ribbon cutting: 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at New Smyrna Beach City Hall, 214 Sams Ave., New Smyrna Beach
- Economic Development Quarterly breakfast meeting: 7:45 a.m. Aug. 13 at Daytona Beach International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach
- Indian River Lagoon Board of Directors meeting: 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13 at Sebastian City Council Chambers, 1225 Main St., Sebastian
- River to Sea Board of Directors meeting: 9 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 25, at 2570 W. International Speedway Blvd., Suite 100, Daytona Beach
- Affordable Housing Summit: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach
Note: Regarding the class on training for disasters that will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2 at the Emergency Operations Center, 3825 Tiger Bay Road, Daytona Beach, in addition to two or more members of the Volusia County Council planning to attend, two or members of the elected commissions or councils from the following cities also may be in attendance:
