LEC remains open, cancels in-person programs

Due to the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, Lyonia Environmental Center, 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona, has canceled in-person programs until further notice. Virtual programs are being planned; check the center’s Facebook page for updates.

The center, which is operated by Volusia County, will remain open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Residents can stop by to learn about the county’s wildlife, native plants, ecosystems and conservation efforts.
