County Council plans special meeting

The Volusia County Council will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the county council chambers on the second floor of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
Members will discuss allocation of funds for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and related ARPA Transition Fund.
As requested by the County Council, staff will also present plans showing the impacts of 3% and 5% general fund reductions to non-public safety, non-external expenses to the proposed FY 2021-22 budget.
Public comments on agenda items will be accepted.
