Hurricane preparedness for your yard

Join Howard Jeffries for a free presentation on getting your yard hurricane ready at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd.

 Jeffries, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will break down what trees fare best during big storms, how to assess storm damage, and best tree care and maintenance practices. Take-home sheets with helpful gardening information will be provided.
