Out of Florida’s 46 native species of snakes, 35 are found in the Central Florida region. Discover Florida’s beautiful and interesting snake species during this free presentation with local author Marcia Meara at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd. 

Snakes might be one of the most misunderstood groups of animals in the world. Join Meara as she clears misconceptions and teaches easy ways to identify the many different species inhabiting Central Florida. 

Meara has published seven novels, two novellas and one book of poetry, all available on Amazon. Meara will also be available for a book signing after the presentation.
