Input needed for beach ramp improvement projects

Posted On: October 18, 2021

Two popular beach ramps will soon undergo renovations, and your input is needed.

Volusia County approved a task assignment with Zev Cohen & Associates in 2020 to design and permit improvements to the International Speedway Boulevard and Silver Beach existing beach ramps. Improvements for both include hardscaping, landscaping and a new restroom building.

With site plans and renderings complete, it’s the public’s turn to provide their thoughts. The Volusia County Coastal Division has prepared virtual presentations for each project outlining the proposed improvements, along with an online survey for residents to easily provide feedback. Responses will be collected through Oct. 31 and a summary of feedback will be posted at a later date. Individuals may also sign up to receive future project updates.
