ECHO committee to meet with applicants

Volusia County’s Environmental, Cultural, Historical and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Advisory Committee will meet at ECHO grant applicants’ project sites on Thursday, Nov. 18.
There will be a presentation and an opportunity for questions during each site visit at the following times and locations:
- 8:15 a.m.: Ormond Beach YMCA, 500 Sterthaus Drive, Ormond Beach
- 8:45 a.m.: City of Holly Hill, Pictona, 1066 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill
- 9:15 a.m.: Veterans Memorial Park, 125 E. Orange Ave., Daytona Beach
- 10 a.m.: Marine Science Center, 100 Lighthouse Drive, Ponce Inlet
- 10:55 a.m.: Riverside Conservancy, 1413 S. Riverside Drive, Edgewater
- 11:35 a.m.: Mary DeWees Baseball Field, 198 N. Gaines St., Oak Hill
- 2 p.m.: Enterprise Heritage Center, 360 Main St., Enterprise
- 2:35 p.m.: Rob Sullivan Park, 200 W. Highbanks Road, DeBary
- 3:20 p.m.: DeLand YMCA, 761 E International Speedway Blvd., DeLand
Applicants will attend a mandatory eligibility meeting at 4 p.m. at the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, first floor training room, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
The presentations and eligibility meeting are open to the public.
ECHO grants are provided through a competitive application process annually and are for the purpose of acquiring, building or restoring environmental, cultural, historical and outdoor recreation facilities that are open for public use. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) not-for-profit groups that have a local office in Volusia County, municipal governments within Volusia County, and departments of Volusia County Government.
