High Bridge Boat Ramp to close for improvements

Posted On: December 16, 2021

The High Bridge Boat Ramp in Ormond Beach is receiving a well-needed upgrade. The improvements will include the replacement of two wood walkways with two concrete walkways, the addition of two aluminum walkways and two floating docks. Other improvements include the repair of the existing sheet pile walls, the installation of rock for shoreline revetment, and the construction of ADA compliant parking spaces.

Contractors working for Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture will begin work on Thursday, Jan. 6. The boat ramp will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians during construction. Completion of construction is expected by summer. During that time, residents are advised to use the Tomoka State Park Boat Ramp, 2099 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach, The Tomoka Boat Ramp, 397 Palm Ave., Ormond Beach, and the Granada Bridge Boat Ramp, 1 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach, as an alternative.
