Magician to perform at Ormond library

Peter Bugnet, aka Peter the Great, will perform feats of legerdemain and discuss the history of magic at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.
His humor and imagination give life to the Cat in the Hat, Professor Snape, Merlin the wizard and mad scientist Dr. Confusion.
Bugnet became interested in magic as a child and performed for the first time at age 10. A self-proclaimed science nerd, he claims to have “wasted a few years” getting a master’s degree in physics and spent another 13 years teaching science to teenagers before returning to magic after retiring in 2011.
