Grab some edibles at the master gardener plant sale

Get your spring garden off to a fresh start by picking up some herbs and vegetable plants at the Master Gardener Edible Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand.

The gardeners, who are trained volunteers for the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will sell a variety of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and herbs, along with fruit trees and a limited number of flowering plants.

Bring a wagon to haul your new plant babies. Purchases can be made with cash or checks only. Parking and admission are free.
