Backyard plant sale benefits library programs

Rain or shine, the Friends of Deltona Library will sell plants for house, shade and sun from 9 a.m. to noon (or until the plants are gone) Saturday, March 5. The sale will take place at a residential home at 1984 W. Chapel Drive, Deltona.
The plants, which have been raised by library volunteers, sell for $3 to $5 in one gallon pots. Purchases can be made with cash or check. All sales will benefit summer programs for kids.
The selection includes eastern red cedar, porter weed, angle trumpet, red firespike, orchid tree, Cuban oregano, beauty berry, yellow four o’clock, reed stem orchid, night blooming cactus, snake plant, Cuban buttercup, candlestick cassia, liriope, rain lilies, agapanthus. Due to the recent freeze, plants are limited but hardy.
