Extension offers turfgrass management class

Lawn care professionals can gain continuing education credits for lawn care management by attending a Florida Field Day event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand.

University of Florida/Volusia County Extension agents and specialists will discuss insects, diseases, new turf varieties and best management practices. Two continuing education credits will be awarded to participants seeking licensure in Limited Certification Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Certification Commercial Landscape Maintenance, and Limited Urban Fertilizer.
