Those looking to explore the St. Johns River in Osteen can soon enjoy the many amenities the Lemon Bluff boat ramp has to offer.
The Volusia County Council will cut the ribbon for the new ramp at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, at 949 Lemon Bluff Road, Osteen. Parking will be available on site.
To RSVP for the event, contact Heather Belden at 386-822-5062 or hbelden@volusia.org.
Plans to enhance the Lemon Bluff boat ramp have been in the works for years.
“Completion of the Lemon Bluff boat ramp is sure to help meet the public need with the addition of a double boat ramp, a kayak and canoe launch, restrooms, pavilions, and ample parking,” said Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture Director Tim Baylie.
The $2.15 million boat ramp was built with contributions from the Florida Inland Navigation District, Volusia County ECHO program, the Florida Boating Improvement Program and park impact fees.
Two or more County Council members plan to attend this event.
