Ormond library hosts adult programs

Adults can learn about the Volusia Forever program and mental health issues at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., in May.
Christie Miller, volunteer coordinator for Volusia County Environmental Management, will discuss the purpose and successes of the Volusia Forever program, which was formed in 2000 to acquire land for conservation and recreation, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11.
Aaron Taggart of SMA Healthcare will address advocacy and support for mental health at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27. He will discuss the major issues facing persons with mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as the appropriate terms to use when referring to them. He will also share resources and trends for those receiving care.
