West Volusia libraries offer kits for adults with disabilities

Posted On: April 23, 2022

Starting May 1, Volusia County Public Library’s west-side branches will offer “Library to Go” kits for adults with intellectual and development disabilities. The service is part of the library system’s We Are CapABLE series of programs and services.

Requests for kits can be made at the DeBary Public Library, DeLand Regional Library, Deltona Regional Library, Lake Helen Public Library and Orange City Public Library.

Library patrons can fill out request forms sharing their interests at any service desk. A library staff member will assemble a combination of books, DVDs, tablets and activities for them to take home. Staff will contact patrons when their kits are ready for pick-up. A library card is required for this service.
