Ormond library hosts adult programs

The Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., will host a variety of educational programs for adults in June.
Christie Miller, volunteer coordinator for Volusia County Environmental Management, will explain how residents can protect rivers, lakes and estuaries by limiting fertilizer this summer. Her program will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2.
Librarian Ray Lennard will offer suggestions for storing family history documents on the web at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16.
Spectrum 13 meteorologist Mallory Nicholls will offer tips on preparing for severe weather during hurricane season at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11.
David Heckard, a meteorologist for Spectrum 13, will explain the science behind weather forecasts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21.
Joan Tague, a member of the Halifax River Audubon Society, will discuss seawatching, a special niche of bird watching that focuses on seaside observations, at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24.
