National Beach Safety Week kicks off Monday

Volusia County Beach Safety and Ocean Rescue Division will celebrate Beach Safety Week beginning May 23. There will be safety information and tips posted daily on social media to help visitors prepare for a successful beach outing. Follow Volusia County Beaches on Facebook and Instagram to learn more.

The United States Lifesaving Association sponsors National Beach Safety Week in an effort to remind beachgoers to use caution in the aquatic environment. National Beach Safety Week begins the Monday before Memorial Day and ends seven days later on Memorial Day Monday.
