DeLand library hosts fun presentations

The DeLand Regional Library, 30 E. Howry Ave., will host a trio of special programs for adults in September. 

Get the buzz on beekeeping at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Nick Johnston, president of Volusia County Beekeepers, will discuss honey, the unseen world of beekeeping, how vast the beekeeping industry is, and more.  

Celebrate National Coloring Day at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. Coloring book artist and author Bibi LeBlanc will describe the life of a coloring book artist and the benefits of coloring. Participants will color pages from her Culture to Color series, which was inspired by historic sites in DeLand, Berlin and Tuscany.  

Give laughter yoga a try at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Advanced laughter yoga leader Donna Marie O’Malley will help participants open up laughter channels and guide them through exercises that can be done from a seated position. Come as you are. No special equipment or clothing is necessary.
