Ian Update 13: Airport updates

Daytona Beach International Airport 

Daytona Beach International Airport continues to monitor Hurricane Ian and is coordinating closely with Volusia County Emergency Management. The airport is open, but passengers should check with their airlines for flight status updates.  

American Airlines has canceled all remaining arrivals into DAB for Tuesday, Sept. 27; all flights on Wednesday, Sept. 28; and the 6 a.m. departure on Thursday, Sept. 29.  

As a reminder, the airport is not a designated shelter. Information regarding official shelters and all other emergency information for Daytona Beach and Volusia County?can be found on the county’s website, volusia.org/PIN. 

Meeting cancellations 

The following county meetings have been canceled: 

• Volusia Growth Management Commission, Sept. 28 

• Planning and Land Development Regulation Commission, Sept. 29 

• Cultural Council of Volusia County, Sept. 30 

• Become a Climate Smart Floridian, Oct. 1
