Volusia County earns finance award

The Government Finance Officers Association has named Volusia County as a 2020 Triple Crown Winner for meeting high standards in three areas. Only 316 other government agencies received this prestigious honor.

This designation recognizes governments that have received the association’s certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting, popular annual financial reporting award and distinguished budget presentation award during a single fiscal year. Each of the three award programs recognizes governments that produce reports that communicate their financial stories in a transparent manner and meet applicable standards.

The Government Finance Officers Association advances excellence in government finance by providing best practices, professional development, resources and practical research for more than 22,500 members.
