DeBary Hall Historic Site is planning various events for November that feature trails, music and fun for all. Upcoming events include:

Writing your memoirs for future generations: 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. Join Roger Fulton, author of “A Common Man’s Uncommon Life,” as he discusses how to organize your story, do research, and gather photos and other materials.

Story time at DeBary Hall: 9:30 a.m. Fridays, Nov. 4 and 18. Children are invited to Kids Corner, a free story time featuring stories, songs and activities. The program is designed for preschoolers, but children of all ages are welcome.

Lemonade Lecture: Master Gardener: Houseplants: 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Houseplants are not only beautiful, but they can also be good for your health. Join Howard Jeffries, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, for a presentation on houseplants. This program is part of the free Lemonade Lectures series sponsored by Volusia County. Light refreshments and lemonade will be served.

Get stepping with line dancing lessons: 5:30 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 10 and 17. Line dancing is a great way to exercise your mind and body. Join DeBary Hall staff for a fun evening full of learning beginner line dances to various music genres. There is a $3 charge for each class.

Accordion concert: 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Spend the afternoon entertained by a variety of music from members of the Central Florida Accordion Club. They will also take a break from enthusiastically playing their accordions to discuss the different types of instruments they will bring along.

Roger Fulton bike ride: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16. Join Roger Fulton on a guided nine-mile bike ride from DeBary Hall to Lake Monroe and back. The trail winds through various habitats where gopher tortoises, red shouldered hawks, ospreys and a variety of other local critters may be along the path. Participants must bring a bicycle and helmet. Sunscreen, snacks and bottled water are also recommended.
