DeBary Public Library hosts adult programs

Adults can pick up new skills and make new social connections with free programs at the DeBary Public Library, 200 N. Charles R. Beall Blvd. 

Upcoming movies include:

  • “Where the Crawdads Sing”: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 (rated PG-13)
  • “Top Gun: Maverick”: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 (rated PG-13)
  • “Thor: Love and Thunder”: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 (rated PG-13)

Create Thanksgiving name cards at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, or 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. Supplies will be provided. Registration is required; visit www.volusialibrary.org or call 386-668-3835.

Stop by the plant exchange and learn more about preparing plants for cold weather at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. Master gardeners from the UF/IFAS Extension Volusia County will be available.

Join the book club for this month’s discussion of “Come Fly the World” by Julia Cooke at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, or 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Drop in at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, for help installing or troubleshooting library reading apps. Staff can assist with Libby, Hoopla, FREADing, Odilo, PressReader and Flipster.
