Reservations available for State of the County

Posted On: February 9, 2023

The year 2022 brought significant challenges to Volusia County government in preparing for and responding to Hurricanes Ian and Nicole. However, it was also a year full of noteworthy accomplishments such as increasing public protection, water preservation initiatives and storm recovery efforts.

The county’s 2022 accomplishments will be highlighted, along with goals to continue progressing forward, during the annual State of the County event. There will be a brief video from council members and a formal address by Volusia County Chair Jeff Brower.

The event will start at noon Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the ballroom at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The event will also be livestreamed at volusia.org and on the County of Volusia’s YouTube channel.

Community sponsors underwrite the event, and there is no cost for the public to attend.

Seating for the luncheon is limited, and reservations are required. Reservations can be made at https://2023StateoftheCounty.eventbrite.com. The deadline to RSVP is Monday, Feb. 20.
