Sheep and goat management

For persons interested in keeping or showing sheep or goats, UF/IFAS Extension Director Kalan Taylor will host a Sheep & Goat Fundamentals class from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the Extension Office auditorium, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand. 

Attendees will learn about basic production, forage management, parasite management and multi-species grazing. The fee is $20, which includes class materials and dinner. Class registration may be found at http://bit.ly/3LYSFiT.

Managing personal finances

A class to enhance money management knowledge and skills will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach.

Participants will learn more about understanding one’s “money personality,” using smart goals, improving budgeting skills, and repairing and building credit. There is no cost to attend, and pre-registration is not required.

Rights and responsibilities of renters

Two free one-hour webinars will be held Tuesday, April 25, for persons seeking to learn their rights and responsibilities as tenants. The first webinar will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and the second from 6 to 7 p.m.
