Learn how Florida friendly landscaping can help 'ReGrow the Loop'

Explore Florida friendly landscaping principles for your home during a free workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Expert speakers will help residents learn how to create a beautiful and sustainable landscape that’s perfect for the Florida climate.

This workshop is sponsored by Volusia County's ReGrow the Loop initiative, which was created by the County Council to enhance the 30-mile double loop of roadways through education, awareness and collaboration. Volusia County, UF/IFAS Extension Volusia County and other local organizations are collaborating to eradicate invasive plant species, increase native vegetation, attract more wildlife and pollinators, and bring about sustainability practices to those who care about the Loop.

Registration is required; visit https://tinyurl.com/32yj2jjy.

For more information about ReGrow the Loop and the workshop, contact Sheila Hutchinson at 386-822-5778 or volusia@ifas.ufl.edu.

Two or more members of the Volusia County Council plan to attend this workshop. Their presence and participation may constitute a public meeting for purposes of Florida Statutes Section 286.011.
