Volunteer and Learn at Wiregrass Prairie Preserve

Residents can volunteer and learn during a nature hike from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Wiregrass Prairie Preserve, 1751 Lopez Road, Osteen. Participants will learn about native plants and wildlife while hiking and removing trash from the preserve’s blue trail and trailhead area.

The 1,423-acre preserve is a mosaic of upland and wetland natural communities including mesic and wet flatwoods, cypress domes, strand swamp and wet prairie.
