Join ReGrow the Loop for birdwatching expedition

Halifax River Audubon members and Florida State Park rangers will lead a birdwatching expedition from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Bulow Creek State Park, 3351 Old Dixie Highway, Ormond Beach. 

The guides will share fun facts about each bird species the group encounters. 

This event is sponsored by Volusia County's ReGrow the Loop initiative, which was created by the County Council to enhance the 30-mile double loop of roadways through education, awareness, and collaboration. Volusia County, UF/IFAS Extension Volusia County, and other local organizations are collaborating to eradicate invasive plant species, increase native vegetation, attract more wildlife and pollinators, and bring about sustainability practices to those who care about the Loop.

Registration is required; visit https://tinyurl.com/regrowtheloop. Participants can meet at the park entrance on Walter Boardman Lane. Wear waterproof shoes and bring binoculars, a camera, and bug spray.
