Lake Beresford Park to Remain Closed for SunRail Track Construction

Lake Beresford Park, 2100 Fatio Road in DeLand, will remain closed due to construction delays caused by recent rainfall. The park is closed to facilitate the expansion of a new train track for the SunRail service extension to DeLand. Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture project the park will reopen in early 2024.

During the closure, the St. Johns River to Sea Loop trail will remain accessible west of the train tracks. Entrances are available at the Blue Springs Avenue Trailhead and near Blue Springs State Park on French Avenue. Residents and visitors looking for a nearby park with a playground, pavilions, and restrooms can visit Spring Hill Park at 903 S. Thompson St., DeLand.
